In 1995, the SAE Secotec Product Programme, including the spark erosion machine EDM 2000, was developed and manufactured specifically for the spark erosive passivation which enabled, for the first time ever, the tension-free fit of the metal structures on the osseo-integrated implants. Advances in digital electronics led to the further development of the SAE spark erosion machine EDM 2000 in 2012. The new model for finest erosion and polishing erosion also enables the gap-free fit of structures.
The SAE Secotec Product Programme offers implant accessories for all market-established implant systems. This programme is being developed continually and is applicable for new implant systems in Germany and abroad.

The SAE spark erosion procedure can be used for the passivation of meso and suprastructures (bar and bridge constructions) which are screwed onto implants or implant abutments with standardised surfaces and also for bridges cemented onto the customised original abutments made of titanium or base metals.
